New Year, New Beginnings

Typical New years post lol.

2014 was a good year, and I've definitely come a long way this year with my photography. 2015 is going to be a year of growing up. This semester is my last year of college, and it's time to start getting my life together. I want to get more serious with my photography, work harder to produce better photos, and make sure I save them correctly (cause I've screwed myself over a few times this year trying to get them printed). I want to be more organized and start looking for a career. I always been so against growing up, but there's a difference between growing up and keeping in touch with your child side. That's my new years resolution I guess, trying to take my life in my own hands and become more independent.

Butterflies represent metamorphosis, change, and new beginnings, which was the theme for this last week. This is supposed to be the last photo in the letsgetcreative2014 52 week project, but I started in July, so it actually basically half way through my project. I got these fake butterflies for christmas, cause my parents know me so well lol. Here are the few photos that came out of this shoot, with the last photo being my "new beginnings" week photo.

I really do love this photo, and I'd love to use it in contests and stuff, but the cocoon is from a stock photo, so I don't own it =[ Maybe one day I'll get a chance to photograph my own cocoon and I'll be able to redo it.

Hope everyone had a great new years!
